Description

Vexlyn is a fictional gaming-peripherals house for the Pulse Edge wireless controller. We redesigned a hang-tab retail carton plus open-sleeve tray mockup in matte black with an original neon energy graphic — cyan trails left, magenta right — then staged USB-C cable, keycap, hex chip, and microfiber props outside the packs so the collection tile reads as competitive gaming retail theatre, clearly distinct from LED bulb packaging neighbours. Companion gallery adds enriched lifestyle keyline, fold, assembled, and open-frame presentation stills at hero mockup quality.

Ideation concept

Cyberpunk dual presentation as parallel chapters: upright hang-tab face for shelf presence, open sleeve for product theatre. Outside the dieline, coiled cable, acrylic keycap, PCB hex, and cloth plus thin poster lines — Competitive Grade, Neon Dual Pack, Open-Sleeve Reveal — keep Colgate-style lifestyle storytelling off the packs without clone Electro-Play branding or dummy Arconistic copy.

Problem statement

Gaming controller brand boards often clone third-party neon carton art with placeholder feature bullets, or collapse into bare white packshots that read like LED bulb electronics kits. The brief needed an original fictional peripherals brand, redesigned hang-tab + open-sleeve carton system with clear English feature stories, and a square enriched lifestyle poster with subtle tech props and external typography — distinct from bulb packaging.

Solution

We invented Vexlyn, rebuilt hierarchy around hex V mark → VEXLYN → Pulse Edge → Adaptive Haptics / Low-Latency Wireless / Contoured Grip / Remappable Paddles, and validated an exactly 1080×1080 enriched lifestyle packshot: tech props and margin callouts outside the packs. Packaging and custom-electronics tags mark the work for collection filters. We also shipped a 3–4 frame enriched open-frame packaging set at hero mockup quality.
